A Week in Flowers – The Final Edition

I am joining Cathy at www.wordsandherbs.wordpress.com for the final edition of our flowery images. I think a glow has replaced the gloom! Follow the link to see more flowery images.

I decided to go all out tropical today.. Pink Bougainvillea to start.

Cattleya Orchids, these grow in my garden and stay outside year round.

My neighbor grows Cattleyas in a tree (Hong Kong Orchid tree, of course)

A closer view:

I have Bridal Bouquet Plumeria

And roses of a different type, Desert Roses.

This has been fun this week, seeing all the different flowers from everyone.

Happy Gardening!!

A “glow” has most definitely “replaced the gloom.” Once again, your tropicals have taken me to a sunny place. Stay safe there in Florida!

Your flowers are just so lovely Amy! Love the desert rose and the close-up of the Bougainvillea. I think we have definitely blasted the gloom away, for a while at least! Thanks!

  5. It is really nice to be able to grow orchids outside. I tired to grow an orchid tree. They will grow 30 miles south of me, but it is slightly colder up where I am.

    • The orchids have to take care of themselves I usually forget about them. I would say you are lucky not to have an Orchid tree, they reseed to the point of being maddening.

      • It is my neighbors Orchid tree..the Orchids stay out year round. I only have Cattleyas. 38 is probably the lowest temp we have had here in the past 10 years.
