It is easy to grow radishes in the winter and spring in South Florida. I recently ran out of good weather and had to buy some at the grocery store.

Yes and so are the thunderstorms, not as much as predicted – more rain later, I think.

They are quick and eady to grow. I expect you are glad of some rain though.

Yes, our water table was getting low= the well would run out of water. Rain is good.

You know (being in South Florida) that many of the cool season vegetables need to be times well. I was not very fond of radishes, but found them easier to grow because they finish faster, hopefully before the weather gets too warm.

Timing is everything when growing vegetables anywhere.

Yes, of course; but some timing is more important in certain regions than others. We must be careful with cool season crops to get the most out of a limited cool season. However, the same tomatoes that must be started inside in cooler regions grow like weeds here even if planted half a season late.

I have not been drinking,, but if you look at those radishes upside down hey take on a whole new aesthetic appeal, like little red people from a universe far far away.

This is the time of the year when gardening can be a little more challenging.

I think it depends on how you look at it, I have Papayas on the trees, the best crop of herbs in years and the wildflowers in the pollinator garden are attracting butterflies like you wouldn’t believe. I just wish I liked Chayote and the tropical sweet potatoes.
